Spurs may adjust their plans to sign a new goalkeeper early next year.

Tottenham Hotspur could look to sign a new goalkeeper in January. After the injury suffered by Guglielmo Vicario has been ruled out for a long time.

Vicario underwent surgery on an ankle injury sustained in Spurs’ win over Manchester City last weekend. Vicario

chose to continue in goal for the rest of the game but tests show. He had fractured a bone in his ankle, leaving

Ange Postecoglou relying on Fraser Forster, 36, to man the side until Vicario returns. Or a new deal can be signed. Spurs

had initially planned to sign a young goalkeeper to add competition to Vicario’s squad in the summer, but they may have to make the switch in January instead.

Spurs have not given a timeframe for how long Vicario will be out. But he is not expected to return until January, ยูฟ่าเบท so the club could be in the market for a new goalkeeper as early as the new year.

Although the north London club are able to sign free agents now, they are unlikely to sign a new goalkeeper. But they will still have to wait until the transfer window opens to register players,

with Forster likely to start at home to Roma on Thursday before the weekend’s clash with Fulham in what will be his first Premier League start since May 2023.

They also have academy goalkeepers Brandon Austin and Alfie Whiteman available, but neither has yet to play in a senior game.
