Former Real Madrid and Chelsea legend Claude Makelele is in talks to take over as Cardiff manager following the sacking of Erol Burut,
according to สมัคร ufabet. Makelele is in talks to take over at Cardiff, who sacked Burut in September,
although he was only appointed manager of Greek side Asteras Tripoli last month and has won one and drawn two of his three games in charge. However,
the former midfielder has since quit, unhappy with interference by club directors.
Makelele told the London World : “I like the job but I can’t accept people interfering and telling me what I can and can’t do.
“They promised me full control of the team It’s my decision who plays and who doesn’t.”
Makelele was particularly frustrated when club officials insisted that youngster Darnell Eric Baily should be on the bench for the game against Athens Kallithea.
“In the last game, they insisted that a key player [Darnell Eric Baily] should be on the bench,” he said.
“This player doesn’t have a big amateur salary but he’s the best player in the team. I played him for 20 minutes, he made two assists and we won the game. “
But they didn’t want to play him. They thought they could control whether he plays or not because he hasn’t signed a new contract. I played him because of his quality.”
Makelele has previously managed Bastia and Eupen.
