AC Milan coach Paulo Fonseca has urged his team not to underestimate Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League when they meet on Tuesday.
The Slovaks have not picked up a single point and have a goal difference of -13 from four games. Milan have six points and are 20th in the standings.
“Do I risk underestimating tomorrow’s game? I don’t think it will happen,” Fonseca said. “
Today we talked about the importance of winning tomorrow. We must not look at their history. “We
have to think only about tomorrow’s game, which we are playing at home. Having the right attitude is very important.
“What I know is that against the big teams we do well and against the small teams we do less well. “
We have to work to be a team with the same attitude and ambition that we show against the big teams. We still have to try to work as a team all the time.
“The Champions League is the Champions League. Everyone likes to be in this competition. The motivation is much higher.
“I expect to be a big boost playing in the Champions League tomorrow.”
Fonseca on disappointing Milan against Juventus
Fonseca feels that Milan have done well against ‘big’ teams so far this season, having beaten Inter and Real Madrid away from home as well as the 0-0 draw with Juventus, but urged his players to keep their consistency against ‘smaller’ teams in Serie A and abroad.
“What I know is that we have done well against the big teams and less well against the ‘small’ ones. We work hard to be a team that has attitude and ambition, which we’ve shown against the big teams, but we’re working at being a consistent team,” Fonseca said, reported via http://ufabet999.app Sport.
