Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has questioned the penalty shootout. That saw his old team crash out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain. The

Reds were eliminated on penalties by PSG. With visiting goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma putting in a superb display, saving Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones as PSG made

every shot and Désirée Due’s final effort sent them into the quarter-finals. After the game, Carragher questioned the coin toss that led to PSG

taking the penalty on the side not on the Kop Stand and still getting the first shot. Which he felt was too much of an advantage.

There were huge cheers before the shootout from the away supporters after it was determined the penalties would be taken at the Anfield Road End, rather than the Kop. PSG also took the first penalty, meaning it already had an advantage.

Ex-Reds defender Carragher had watched the game among Liverpool fans inside Anfield and questioned the coin toss when speaking to CBS Sports Golazo. He said: “One thing I couldn’t work out with the penalties was that, obviously, it was a toss up of Virgil van Dijk. So PSG must have won the toss to take it to the other end but also took the first penalty.

“One thing I find really confusing about penalties is that it was a toss with Van Dijk in it. PSG won and went to the other side. That’s fine, but why did they get the first shot?” Carragher told คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย Sports.

“Normally, if you can choose a side, The other team had to score first. But this time PSG got both, so I’m not sure what happened, but I have to admit that PSG deserved to go through.”
